~Miniature Dachshund~

The playful tendencies and friendly disposition of the Dachshund have made it's breed a favorite for many families. They are able to adapt well to most environments, and require moderate exercise. They are very clever animals, with long bodies and short legs typically, weighing anywhere from 8-12 pounds. The hunting spirit and keen sense of smell of the Dachshund reflect the goals of the original breeders in the early 1600's.
